Real Madrid playmaker Isco ran the show as Spain beat Italy 3-0 in their latest World Cup qualifier on Saturday, and Tottenham fans were impressed with the performance of one of their former targets.
The 25-year-old was linked with a move to Spurs earlier this year and beyond that too having fallen out of favour under Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu, but he may have just secured a regular spot in the starting line-up with his showing against the Azzurri.
Isco started in an attacking role as Spain failed to name a recognised striker in their side, and after curling home a magnificent free-kick the midfielder netted a second from outside the box to give his nation a 2-0 half-time lead.
Tottenham supporters were quick to have their say on what they had seen from Isco via social media, and while many were gutted that the club hadn’t signed him in the past, many are still hoping that they could get him in January.
