Leeds United’s hopes of making the English Championship play-offs are dwindling fast after suffering another league defeat on Saturday, this time at home to Cardiff City.
The Bluebirds were in superb form through the 90 minutes, blasting four goals past Thomas Christiansen’s side, who could only muster one in reply, which was an own goal.
Leeds are now seven points behind sixth placed Bristol City, languishing in 10th behind Preston North End, Middlesbrough and Sheffield United.
It’s a result that left supporters fuming, with many now questioning the job of Christiansen after a run of poor results and strange in-match decisions.
One particular decision that rankled fans on Saturday was the substitution of Pierre-Michel Lasogga when they were still chasing the game. Supporters believe it showed a tactical naivety, taking off their only target man when badly needing a goal.
Where do Leeds go from here?
