Manchester United will look to pursue a shock move for Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko should they fail to lure Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford from Juventus, according to reports from Le10Sport.
The Red Devils are believed to be keen to push ahead with a world-record £100m move for the France international now he’s finished at EURO 2016, with Jose Mourinho eager to make the 23-year-old his fourth major addition of the transfer window.

However, with Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola, having claimed that his client is in “no hurry to leave” Juventus, a deal for the bombarding midfielder may not be possible this summer, especially with Man United preparing for a campaign in the Europa League.
The Juve ace’s French team-mate, Blaise Matuidi, has been mooted as an alternative, but reports claim that Mourinho’s men are actually looking at Sissoko should they fail to land their prime target.
The 26-year-old was a part of the Magpies team that were relegated to the Championship last term, and was widely criticised for his perceived lack of effort as the club slid towards the drop.
Le10Sport suggest that a fee of around €20m (£17.1m) would be needed to release Sissoko from his spell at St James’ Park, but other reports reveal that the Tyneside club want a staggering £35m following his impressive showings at EURO 2016 – he starred in the final as Les Bleus lost to Portugal.
Similarly, Juventus may also turn to Sissoko should they sell Pogba.
