Roy Keane has talked up the possibility of Kevin De Bruyne joining Manchester United after he leaves fierce rivals Manchester City in the summer.

De Bruyne will leave City when his contract expires at the end of the season after the club informed him he would not be offered a new contract, bringing an end to his hugely successful 10-year spell at the Etihad Stadium.

Saudi Arabia and the United States have been touted as possible destinations for the 33-year-old, but he has indicated that he could stay in the Premier League, with a return to Chelsea endorsed by one former star. However, ex-United captain Keane believes a switch to Old Trafford would not be a bad idea, insisting the playmaker still has the quality to deliver.
WHAT KEANE SAID
"United? He wouldn't have to move house," Keane said on . "We know how ruthless Man City can be at a certain age. Give him time one the ball and he will punish you, all he needs is a moment. As much as you try and stop him, you can't in certain areas."

City may be out of the Champions League and the running for the Premier League title, but De Bruyne can still finish his last season at the club with a trophy as they take on Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-finals this week.
